Define the purchasing duty
A liquid product sold as a polyelectrolyte may perform a different job from the proposed powder flocculant. Purchasing should identify chemistry and treatment stage before comparing unit prices or treating similar commercial descriptions as equivalent.
Keep the proposed commercial product connected to the feed, preparation route and separator that will decide acceptance.
Identify chemistry and function
Ask whether the product is a high-molecular-weight flocculant, a polyDADMAC-type coagulant, a polyamine or another formulation. Confirm physical form and intended addition point. The coagulation and bridging explanation distinguishes related mechanisms without claiming that commercial names establish exact chemistry.
Actual products overlap in function; the supplier identity and controlled application test decide the useful role.
Compare the treatment sequence
Determine which primary chemical remains fixed and which candidate is being replaced. Where two products are required, qualify the combination with the actual pH, mixing and addition order. Do not compare an upstream coagulant alone with a downstream flocculant as though each faced the same suspension.
Record whether the trial is a direct substitution or a separately authorized change to the treatment train.
Preserve mass and installation scope
Compare supplied mass or a clearly defined active basis, product preparation, pumps, dilution and storage. A convenient ready-to-feed liquid may still need a different dose or separator endpoint. Keep the supplier and cost record attached to the proposed product identity.
Do not infer lower treatment cost simply because one product uses less stock-solution volume.
Check an apparently favorable result
If a liquid coagulant produces pin floc but not the required separation, that does not establish that every polymer is ineffective. Preserve the intended role and assess whether a distinct downstream flocculant is still needed before awarding an unsupported single-product replacement.
Record unresolved conditions separately from completed qualification. A proposed benefit is not a measured plant result.
Keep an acceptance record
Attach candidate code, sample lot, preparation, feed condition and measurement method to the purchase decision. Preserve failed points as well as the preferred condition so later supply can be reviewed against the actual evidence.
| Requirement | Evidence | Approval boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Chemistry and physical form | Offered products are understood |
| Sequence | Defined addition stage | Comparison addresses the same duty |
| Scope | Mass, preparation and endpoints | Award includes the full process change |
Request the right sample and quotation
Send both product data sheets, current addition points, pH, preparation arrangements and separator results. State whether procurement seeks one replacement or a qualified multi-chemical arrangement.
Include quantity, destination and document needs in the sample and RFQ record. Review quality and supply controls with Gongyi Xinqi Polymer Co., Ltd.; confirm the offered grade and commercial terms before ordering.
Request a product and supply review
Send the feed, separator and intended purchase scope.
