Define the purchasing duty
Pressure-filtration acceptance needs a complete cycle. A grade that creates excellent settling floc has not automatically demonstrated pumpable feed, even chamber filling or practical discharge on a chemical-sludge filter press.
Keep the proposed commercial product connected to the feed, preparation route and separator that will decide acceptance.
Define the feed and press
Record sludge sources, precipitation or coagulation history, solids, storage, plates, cloth and feed-pump route. Inspect mechanical condition before assigning poor filtration to chemistry. Keep changes in upstream inorganic addition visible in the solids and consumption basis.

Qualify transfer and chamber filling
Compare candidates under consistent preparation, dose and transfer shear. Record pumpability and filling before interpreting filtrate. Open or compressible floc can change across the pump, while high local concentration can create distribution problems.
Use the preparation checks when delivered plant stock differs from laboratory stock.
Award against whole-cycle productivity
Retain pressure and filtrate volume over time, liquid quality, cake solids, release, cleaning and useful throughput. Hold settings for the first chemical comparison, then record any optimized pressure or filling schedule separately.
Do not rank products only by the fastest early drainage or the best-looking cake photograph.
Check an apparently favorable result
If faster initial filtration produces worse cake release and a longer total operating cycle, retain the complete result. The candidate may need adjustment or may not meet the purchase requirement, even though one intermediate reading improved.
Record unresolved conditions separately from completed qualification. A proposed benefit is not a measured plant result.
Keep an acceptance record
Attach candidate code, sample lot, preparation, feed condition and measurement method to the purchase decision. Preserve failed points as well as the preferred condition so later supply can be reviewed against the actual evidence.
